In reading a workshop brochure, the topic was “How to Communicate with Tact & Professionalism” and I came across this blurb that I thought was beneficial:
More than half of your message is nonverbal – effective communication is not just about the words you use – it’s about “reading” the other person and knowing the right way to deliver your “pitch”. The ability to link body language with the message is the hallmark of an effective communicator.
And keep in mind that people you are communicating with are “reading” you too! Be aware of what kind of message you may be sending without using words.
