Meeting Maxons!

Our Blog series, “Meeting Maxons!” continues this week. We will hear from Lou, a Senior Director of Client Services, about her experiences at Maxons.

Q:  How long been with Maxons?

A:  17 years

 

Q:  Do you remember what your impressions were of the company after being here for about a month?

A:  It was a highly recommended opportunity for me.  It turned out to be everything that I believed it would be and everything I was looking for.

 

Q:  What was the first thing you had to learn when joining the team?

A:  Being a little bit more independent.  My previous role required me to call my boss twice a day on my activity – and at that time, I had to go to payphones to do this!  I had to learn I didn’t need to call Damon and tell him my progress and success throughout the day.  Learning that kind of independence was a great experience!

 

Q:  What is the most important thing you have learned since you have been here?

A:  Learning how to listen, working well with others, helping others, being a resource and a friend to my clients.  That led me to developing relationships beyond my wildest dreams with clients and colleagues that I never thought I could do through my career.  And seeing the trust that has developed between myself with people in the industry.

 

Q:  Why do you have a passion for this industry?

A:  I love helping people!  Love to get the phone to ring from the relationships I have developed, and then be able to do the work and make the end user happy.  It is so much fun and it is rewarding everyday.

 

Q:  Which company core value speaks to you the most – and why?

A:   Sincerity.  Our word is our bond!  People have been listening to me for a long time, and I have made promises for a long time. It is my job to be sincere with my people, both when our operations are normal, and when we are in the middle of a catastrophe.  You have to be sincere and compassionate with our clients and customers.

 

Q:  What is your favorite Maxons story?

A:  I loved how I was hired, I was referred by a client to Damon.  I got to have 2 great steak dinners with Damon as part of being interviewed.  I don’t think my family and I would have had the life we had without being a part of Maxons and working with Damon for all these years!
